Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or eligibility to obtain certification
- Basic understanding of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology
Preferred:
- Previous clinical experience through internships or externships
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and performing various types of ultrasound exams
- Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures in a clinical setting
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to ultrasound imaging
