Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Sonographer to join our innovative healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging results while providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
- Perform routine ultrasound examinations under the supervision of senior sonographers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition and reporting any malfunctions.
- Document and record examination results accurately, collaborating with radiologists and medical staff for diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to advance your skills and knowledge in sonography.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Basic understanding of ultrasound physics and anatomy.
Preferred:
- Experience in a clinical setting through internships or externships.
- Knowledge of advanced imaging techniques and modalities.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and software.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Understanding of quality assurance protocols in imaging.
