Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead Real Estate Paralegal to join our legal team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to manage complex real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with legal standards while enhancing the efficiency of our operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing documents
- Conduct thorough title searches and due diligence to identify potential issues and coordinate resolution strategies
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents with precision, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Manage timelines and communication between clients, attorneys, and third-party vendors, fostering collaborative relationships
- Mentor and train junior paralegals, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring high-quality work products
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to transactions, ensuring timely updates and accessibility for the legal team
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong focus on real estate law
- Proven track record in managing a high-volume caseload, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills
- In-depth knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and best practices
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner
Preferred:
- Experience leading or mentoring a team of paralegals
- Familiarity with legal case management software and document management systems
- Certification from a recognized paralegal organization
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, for document preparation and data analysis
- Experience with electronic filing systems and legal research tools
- Familiarity with project management tools to track progress and deadlines
