Role Overview
We are seeking a Corporate Paralegal Manager to lead our dynamic team of paralegals in providing comprehensive legal support to our corporate legal department. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of corporate governance, compliance, and transactional matters while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the corporate paralegal team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of legal documents, filings, and compliance tasks.
- Manage the corporate governance process, including the preparation and maintenance of corporate records, minutes, and resolutions.
- Assist in managing various transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, by coordinating due diligence efforts and supporting contract negotiations.
- Develop and implement best practices for paralegal workflows and procedures, enhancing efficiency and compliance.
- Provide training and mentorship to paralegals, focusing on professional development and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, compliance, and operations teams, to ensure alignment on corporate legal matters.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to proactively address compliance and governance issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate law, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certification from an accredited organization.
- Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm specializing in corporate law.
- Familiarity with legal research tools and compliance software.
- Track record of implementing process improvements and efficiency initiatives within a legal team.
