Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Range Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing land use practices, ensuring sustainable management of rangelands, and implementing best practices for ecological conservation. You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies that enhance land productivity while maintaining environmental integrity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of rangeland conditions to inform management practices and land use planning.
- Develop and implement range management plans that align with regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with landowners, agencies, and organizations to promote best practices in range management and conservation.
- Monitor and analyze vegetation health, soil conditions, and wildlife habitat to make data-driven recommendations.
- Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on effective range management techniques and sustainable land use.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and strategies for improving rangeland management.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Range Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in range management, land use planning, or environmental consulting.
- Strong knowledge of ecological principles, rangeland vegetation types, and sustainable land management practices.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret scientific data related to land use and ecology.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with GIS technologies and data management systems.
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to land management and environmental protection.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in GIS software and data visualization tools for land analysis.
- Knowledge of remote sensing technologies to assess rangeland conditions.
- Experience with statistical software for data analysis and modeling.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
