Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Railroad Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our rail operations. In this hybrid role, you will not only supervise daily cleaning activities but also strategize on operational improvements, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and enhancing the overall passenger experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily cleaning operations on trains and at stations, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, workflows, and best practices to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular inspections of cleaned areas and equipment to ensure adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.
- Lead, train, and mentor cleaning staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to ensure all cleaning operations meet regulatory standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and maintenance.
- Prepare reports on cleaning operations and present findings to management for continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or cleaning operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning protocols, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred:
- Experience within the transportation or railroad industry.
- Certifications related to cleaning operations or safety management.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and technologies, including automated cleaning systems.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and reporting tools.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair processes for cleaning equipment.
