Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Practitioner Assistant to join our innovative healthcare team. In this fully remote role, you will play a crucial part in supporting radiology services by assisting with patient evaluation, diagnostic imaging, and ensuring high-quality care delivery. Your expertise will help enhance patient outcomes and streamline radiological workflows.
Responsibilities
- Assist radiologists in interpreting imaging studies, providing preliminary reports based on established protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Administer contrast agents and medications as per protocols while monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and imaging outcomes.
- Provide education to patients regarding radiological procedures, enhancing their understanding and comfort.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters in compliance with regulatory standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Current certification as a Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA) or equivalent licensure.
- Graduate degree in a relevant field, such as Physician Assistant or Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a radiology setting.
- Proficiency in imaging modalities including MRI, CT, and X-ray.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex imaging results.
Preferred:
- Experience in a telehealth or remote care environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and imaging software.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of radiological practices and imaging technologies.
- Ability to navigate and utilize EHR systems for efficient patient management.
- Experience with image analysis software and tools.
