Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Radiology Manager to join our dynamic radiology team. In this fully remote position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our radiology department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services. You will collaborate closely with the Radiology Manager to implement best practices, uphold patient safety standards, and facilitate continuous improvement in departmental workflows.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of the radiology department, including oversight of personnel, equipment, and patient care processes
- Support the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to optimize workflow and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Coordinate staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient resource allocation
- Monitor departmental performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff to enhance technical skills and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Act as a liaison between radiology staff, other departments, and external stakeholders to promote collaborative patient care
- Assist in budget preparation and management, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a radiology setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong understanding of radiology procedures, equipment, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field
- Experience with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives in a healthcare setting
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare data management
- Understanding of imaging modalities, including X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound
