Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced VP of Quality Systems to lead our quality assurance initiatives and enhance our quality management systems across the organization. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and implementation of quality strategies that align with our mission to deliver exceptional products while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive quality strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and enhances customer satisfaction
- Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality management systems, ensuring adherence to ISO and other relevant standards
- Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals, fostering a culture of quality excellence and accountability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality improvement opportunities and drive initiatives that enhance product quality and operational efficiency
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of quality systems and initiatives
- Act as a primary contact for regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
- Facilitate quality audits and inspections, and ensure timely resolution of any findings
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in quality management systems within a regulated industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Deep understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven experience in implementing and managing ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience in the manufacturing or healthcare industry
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager or equivalent)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in statistical process control (SPC), failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Familiarity with digital quality management tools and software platforms
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Proactive problem solver with a focus on driving results and fostering collaboration
