Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Assistant Provost to join our academic leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Provost in overseeing academic affairs, ensuring the highest standards of education, and fostering a culture of academic excellence throughout the institution. You will collaborate with faculty, administration, and external stakeholders to develop and implement policies that advance the educational mission and support student success.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Provost in the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic policies and programs
- Coordinate academic planning and assessment processes to ensure alignment with institutional goals
- Oversee academic advising and student support initiatives to enhance student retention and success
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote innovative teaching and learning practices
- Lead efforts to assess and improve academic programs through data-driven decision-making
- Represent the Provost in various committees and working groups, presenting academic initiatives and outcomes
- Foster a diverse and inclusive academic environment that supports equity in education
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Doctorate in an academic discipline or equivalent experience in higher education administration
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in an academic setting
- Demonstrated understanding of accreditation processes and outcomes assessment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-informed decisions
Preferred:
- Experience with curriculum development and academic program review
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups
- Knowledge of current trends and challenges in higher education
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in educational technology platforms and learning management systems
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and performance metrics systems
- Experience with project management software and collaborative tools for remote engagement
