Role Overview
We are seeking an Executive Dean to provide strategic leadership and vision for our academic programs and initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and implementation of educational strategies that foster academic excellence, promote innovative teaching methodologies, and enhance student engagement across diverse disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and operational management of academic programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and objectives
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative academic environment that encourages faculty development and supports student success
- Engage with faculty, staff, and students to promote a culture of excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to support programmatic growth and sustainability
- Build and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders, including industry and community organizations, to enhance educational opportunities and outcomes
- Advocate for academic programs and initiatives at the institutional level, ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution
- 10+ years of progressive experience in academic leadership roles within higher education
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic settings
- Strong track record of successful program development and implementation
Preferred:
- Experience in a Dean or similar executive position within a higher education institution
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change initiatives
- Strong understanding of current trends and challenges in higher education
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in academic management systems and data analytics tools to inform decision-making
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and educational standards
