Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead our production team in delivering high-quality products on time and within budget. In this critical role, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, implementing best practices, and driving operational efficiency across our fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute production strategies that align with business objectives and drive performance improvements
- Oversee production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and enhance productivity
- Lead cross-functional teams in process optimization initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and quality materials
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and drive decision-making
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in production management or operations within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements that drive operational efficiency
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, fostering a culture of accountability and performance
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software
- Experience in a fully remote work environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, or similar
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
