Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Supervisor to oversee our logistics operations and ensure the timely and efficient delivery of services. You will play a critical role in coordinating dispatch activities, managing team performance, and optimizing routing processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries
- Monitor and analyze routing efficiency to optimize delivery schedules and reduce operational costs
- Lead, train, and mentor dispatch team members, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to improve dispatch processes and customer satisfaction
- Utilize dispatch software to track vehicle locations, monitor driver performance, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Resolve any service issues or delays efficiently and effectively, maintaining communication with drivers and clients
- Prepare and present performance reports to management, identifying areas for improvement and operational efficiencies
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or dispatch operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proven track record of managing a team effectively and driving performance improvements
- Strong understanding of routing and scheduling software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in the transportation or delivery industry
- Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations in the logistics sector
