Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Playground Supervisor to join our team in creating a safe and engaging play environment for children. In this role, you will oversee playground activities, ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to while promoting fun and inclusive play experiences.
Responsibilities
- Supervise playground activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all children.
- Monitor children’s interactions and facilitate inclusive play, encouraging teamwork and cooperation.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular inspections of playground equipment.
- Engage with children to promote positive behavior and conflict resolution.
- Organize and lead structured play activities that cater to various age groups.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding any concerns or incidents that arise during playground supervision.
- Maintain detailed records of playground activities and incidents to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in a supervisory or educational capacity.
- Strong understanding of child development and safety practices.
Preferred:
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience in recreation management or similar fields.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using basic safety equipment and first aid supplies.
- Familiarity with play structures and safety regulations.
