Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Spraying Supervisor to join our innovative team. In this fully remote role, you will oversee and enhance the metal spraying processes, ensuring the highest quality standards are met while optimizing efficiency and safety. Your expertise will play a critical role in leading projects, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in our operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the metal spraying team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices for metal spraying techniques, including thermal spray processes
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and quality
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of learning and development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development and resolve technical challenges
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in metal spraying or related surface engineering processes
- Proven track record of supervising teams and driving performance improvements
- Strong understanding of thermal spray technologies and materials
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Effective communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and team development
Preferred:
- Experience in a remote supervisory role
- Knowledge of industry standards and quality assurance practices
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in thermal spraying equipment and technologies, such as HVOF, plasma spray, and arc spray
- Experience with quality control tools and methods, including statistical process control (SPC)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
