Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Plant Operations to oversee and optimize our manufacturing facilities. This pivotal role requires a seasoned leader who will drive operational excellence, enhance productivity, and foster a culture of safety and sustainability across our plant operations. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency and productivity across all plant operations
- Lead the development of process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Oversee the management of plant resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal output
- Establish and monitor KPIs to assess plant performance and identify areas for improvement
- Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and implementing best practices
- Collaborate with supply chain, quality assurance, and engineering teams to align production with demand forecasts
- Mentor and develop plant leadership teams, promoting professional growth and succession planning
- Manage budgets and resource allocation, driving cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in plant operations or manufacturing management, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing processes and teams
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
