Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our fully remote manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety across our manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall operations of the plant, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
- Develop and implement production strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, fostering a culture of safety and accountability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, engineering, and quality assurance, to support production goals
- Oversee resource allocation, workforce management, and equipment maintenance to maximize productivity
- Manage budgeting and financial performance related to plant operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in plant management or operations management within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements and achieving production targets
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in production planning and inventory management software
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES)
