Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Lead Pharmacy Analyst to join our innovative healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in pharmacy data analytics to optimize medication management processes, enhance patient outcomes, and drive strategic initiatives across our organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of pharmacy data analytics projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
- Analyze complex pharmacy data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in medication utilization and safety
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making for stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pharmacy, clinical, and IT departments, to integrate analytics into operational workflows
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative analytical culture
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform pharmacy analytics strategies
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in pharmacy analytics or a related field, with a proven track record of leading analytical projects
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medication management, and healthcare regulations
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, R, Python)
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Informatics, or a related field
- Experience with pharmacy benefit management (PBM) analytics and formulary decision-making processes
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy management systems
- Certification in health data analytics or a related credential
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in data mining techniques, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards, including HL7, FHIR, and others
