Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Healthcare Data Analytics to lead our data analytics strategy within the healthcare sector. In this role, you will leverage advanced analytics and data science methodologies to drive informed decision-making, enhance patient outcomes, and optimize operational efficiencies. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of analytics initiatives that align with our organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the data analytics strategy for healthcare initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Lead a team of data analysts and data scientists, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, IT, and operational stakeholders, to identify analytics opportunities that address key business challenges
- Oversee the design and implementation of advanced analytics models, including predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of healthcare data, adhering to regulatory standards and best practices
- Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders, translating complex data findings into actionable strategies
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on healthcare data
- Proven track record of leading analytics initiatives that resulted in measurable improvements in patient care or operational efficiencies
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards, regulations, and best practices
Preferred:
- PhD in a relevant field
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and healthcare interoperability standards
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and big data technologies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in data analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Tableau
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling techniques
