Role Overview
We invite applications for the prestigious position of Endowed Chair in Penology. Responsibilities

- Supervise and mentor graduate students and junior faculty, promoting scholarly development and research collaboration.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address pressing issues in the criminal justice system, including policy advocacy and reform.
- Contribute to the university’s mission through community service and outreach, promoting public understanding of penology and criminal justice issues.
- Publish high-quality research in leading academic journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- A distinguished record of scholarly research and publications in penology or related areas.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence at the university level.
- Experience in securing research funding and managing research projects.
Preferred:
- Experience in community-based research or engagement.
- Strong record of interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Familiarity with contemporary issues in corrections, rehabilitation, and criminal justice policy.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
