Role Overview

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including governmental agencies and non-profit organizations, to advocate for policy changes that support effective corrections
- Conduct research and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of penological practices and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all penological operations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in corrections, penology, or criminal justice, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and implementing innovative rehabilitation programs
- In-depth knowledge of criminal justice policies and best practices in corrections
Preferred:
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field
- Experience working with at-risk populations and a strong understanding of the social determinants of crime
- Demonstrated ability to influence policy at local, state, or national levels
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data analysis tools for evaluating program effectiveness
- Experience with case management systems and rehabilitation program software
- Knowledge of current research and trends in penology and criminal justice reform
