Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisory Correctional Treatment Specialist to lead our team in providing comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation services to individuals in correctional facilities. This role is crucial in developing and implementing treatment programs that promote positive behavioral changes and reintegration into society.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of correctional treatment specialists, ensuring adherence to policies and best practices in treatment delivery.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and medical staff, to coordinate comprehensive care for individuals in custody.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff to enhance their skills in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor the progress of treatment programs and make adjustments as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the population served.
- Prepare reports on treatment outcomes and program effectiveness, presenting findings to management and stakeholders.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in correctional treatment or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation and treatment methodologies applicable in a correctional setting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team toward achieving treatment goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport with diverse populations.
Preferred:
- Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
- Experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Familiarity with community resources and post-release support systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in case management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Experience with assessment tools and therapeutic frameworks relevant to correctional treatment.
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques for evaluating program effectiveness.
