Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting patient care by performing essential clinical tasks, assisting in data management, and ensuring a high standard of patient experience through compassionate communication and care coordination.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote patient support by monitoring vital signs, assisting with medication management, and responding to patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Document patient interactions and clinical observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans and ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care procedures, fostering understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
- Assist in the management of telehealth visits and other remote care initiatives.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Patient Care Technician program or comparable certification.
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient support role.
- Strong understanding of medical terminologies, patient care protocols, and EHR systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Preferred:
- Experience in telehealth or remote patient care settings.
- CNA or other relevant healthcare certification.
- Proficiency in using healthcare software and patient management systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Basic knowledge of medical equipment and technology used in patient care.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other healthcare-related software applications.
