Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Associate to join our team, providing exceptional support to patients while fostering a compassionate and responsive care environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating patient needs, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care, and acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, assisting with inquiries and providing timely responses to their needs
- Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups to ensure seamless care delivery
- Assist in the collection and documentation of patient information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Educate patients about their care plans, medications, and treatment options, fostering a supportive and informative environment
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care and address any patient concerns promptly
- Monitor and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in a patient-facing role, preferably within a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of healthcare protocols and patient care procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse patient populations
Preferred:
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or similar
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using EHR and patient management software
- Ability to navigate telehealth technology and virtual communication platforms
- Competence in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
