Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Crane Operations Supervisor to oversee our crane operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for managing crane operations across various projects, optimizing performance, and leading a team of operators to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily crane operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure all equipment is maintained in optimal condition
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of crane operators, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to align crane operations with project timelines and requirements
- Analyze operational data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Ensure all crane operations documentation is accurate and up to date, including safety records, maintenance logs, and operational reports
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in crane operations, with a strong understanding of lifting equipment and safety regulations
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, demonstrating leadership and team management skills
- Certification in crane operation (e.g., NCCCO, CIC) and a valid driver's license
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
Preferred:
- Experience in heavy construction or industrial projects
- Familiarity with crane inspection and maintenance procedures
- OSHA certification and training in safety management
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of crane operation techniques and safety standards
- Proficiency in using crane management software and operational management tools
- Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications
