Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Nursing Home Administrator to support the overall operations of our facility. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Nursing Home Administrator to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while enhancing the quality of care provided to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services
- Support the Nursing Home Administrator in developing and implementing policies and procedures that promote quality care
- Monitor resident care services and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Coordinate with department heads to facilitate communication and collaboration across all levels of staff
- Assist in budgeting and financial management, including monitoring expenditures and evaluating financial performance
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and outcomes
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations and standards
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Administrator or in a similar role within a nursing home environment
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field
- Certification as a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) or willingness to obtain
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
