Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and passionate Director of Nursing Education to lead our educational initiatives and shape the future of nursing within our organization. This role will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing education programs that enhance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards, while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in nursing education.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of nursing education programs that meet the evolving needs of healthcare delivery and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to assess educational needs and develop educational strategies that enhance nursing practice.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative metrics, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation to ensure high-quality instruction and mentorship.
- Foster partnerships with academic institutions to enhance educational opportunities for nursing staff and promote continuous learning.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to maximize educational outcomes while ensuring financial sustainability.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field; Doctorate preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in nursing education or a leadership role within a healthcare education environment.
- Active RN license and relevant certifications in nursing education.
Preferred:
- Experience with accreditation processes and regulatory compliance in nursing education.
- Proven track record of developing innovative educational programs that have positively impacted clinical practice.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in learning management systems (LMS) and educational technology tools.
- Experience with data analysis tools to inform decision-making and program evaluation.
