Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Lead Nurse Assistant to join our team, responsible for overseeing and supporting nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing the quality of patient interactions and ensuring adherence to best practices within a fully remote healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with patient care protocols and standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities, including assistance with daily living tasks and monitoring patient health metrics.
- Facilitate communication between nursing staff and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans.
- Conduct regular training sessions and provide ongoing education to nursing assistants on best practices and new protocols.
- Assist in the evaluation and modification of care plans based on patient needs and feedback.
- Manage documentation of patient care activities and ensure accurate reporting of patient status to nursing staff and physicians.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a nursing team.
- Strong understanding of patient care standards and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
Preferred:
- Experience in a remote healthcare environment or telehealth setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Additional training in geriatric care or specialized patient populations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and remote communication tools.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient documentation practices.
