Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to oversee and coordinate the delivery of exceptional patient care within our organization. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive experience in nursing assistance to lead a team of CNAs, ensuring compliance with healthcare protocols while fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Certified Nurse Assistants, providing guidance on best practices in patient care and assisting with complex care needs.
- Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care plans, collaborating with healthcare professionals to adapt plans as necessary.
- Monitor patient vitals and report any changes to nursing staff or physicians in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with infection control practices and safety regulations, creating a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Facilitate ongoing training and development for CNAs, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Current certification as a Nurse Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of healthcare professionals.
- Strong understanding of patient care practices, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
Preferred:
- Experience in a supervisory or lead role in a healthcare environment.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software.
- Familiarity with medical equipment and technology used in patient care.
- Ability to analyze patient data and contribute to care planning.
