Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Manager to oversee our state-of-the-art CNC machining operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of CNC machinists, ensuring the efficient production of precision components, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of CNC machinists, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Oversee the setup, calibration, and maintenance of CNC machines, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize machining processes and improve product manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and tooling, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely availability.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in CNC machining, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing CNC operations and teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC machine tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and advanced machining techniques.
- Solid understanding of machining metrics and performance indicators.
