Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Manager to lead our advanced manufacturing operations, focusing on optimizing CNC machining processes to enhance productivity and quality. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of skilled machinists and engineers, ensuring that our CNC operations align with our strategic goals and maintain our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for CNC machining processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
- Lead and mentor a team of CNC machinists and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate machining activities to ensure on-time delivery of products
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to refine product specifications and improve manufacturability
- Utilize data-driven decision-making to analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC machine tools
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects
Preferred:
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, TS16949)
- Certification in CNC programming or machining technologies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in CNC machining processes, including milling, turning, and grinding
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks)
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience with CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting
