Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in a fully remote environment. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing CNC machining processes, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met across our portfolio of products. Your expertise will guide the team in utilizing advanced CNC technologies and methodologies to meet our strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all CNC machining operations, ensuring alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining safety standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of CNC operators and machinists, providing training on best practices and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize CNC programs and tooling for new product introductions.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and operations management.
- Proven track record of leading and optimizing CNC production environments.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code) and machining processes.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with advanced CNC technologies, including multi-axis machining and automation.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in CNC machining processes, including milling, turning, and grinding.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software, such as SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar.
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies and measurement tools.
