Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing Projects to lead strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence and innovation across our manufacturing processes. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing project management, optimizing resource allocation, and fostering collaboration across various teams to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple manufacturing projects from inception through execution, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
- Develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Implement best practices in project management methodologies, including Agile and Lean principles, to optimize production workflows.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
- Establish metrics for project performance, tracking progress and providing regular updates to stakeholders on status, challenges, and outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative thinking and problem-solving among team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project integration.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in project management within a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying project management tools and techniques, such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor diverse teams.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or similar.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or Trello) and data analysis tools.
- Understanding of manufacturing systems and tools, such as ERP software (SAP, Oracle) and CAD tools.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.
