Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Master Machinist to join the precision engineering team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Conduct detailed inspections of machined components using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to strict tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine machining processes, tooling, and fixture designs to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts in machining operations and implement process improvements based on data-driven analysis.
- Train and mentor junior machinists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of machining operations, including production data, tooling usage, and maintenance schedules.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in precision machining, with a proven track record of producing high-quality components.
- Expertise in operating CNC lathes, mills, and other precision machining equipment.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, G-code programming, and machining principles.
- Ability to perform complex setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting of machinery.
- Familiarity with quality control methods, inspection tools, and standards.
Preferred:
- Experience with CAD/CAM software to aid in programming and optimization of machining processes.
- Certification in machining or related fields, such as a journeyman machinist or equivalent.
- Experience in aerospace or medical device manufacturing is a plus.
