Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Tool Room Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our tool room, ensuring efficient tool management and maintenance practices. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the organization, storage, and maintenance of tools and equipment, playing a pivotal role in supporting our manufacturing and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the tool room activities, ensuring tools are properly maintained, organized, and readily available for production needs.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Manage inventory levels, including tracking, ordering, and maintaining tools and supplies to avoid production delays.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of tools and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Provide training and support to team members on tool handling, maintenance, and proper usage procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand tool requirements and ensure timely availability of necessary equipment.
- Analyze tool performance and maintenance records to identify opportunities for improvement in processes and tools.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in tool management or supervision within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of tool maintenance, repair, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and tools.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team.
Preferred:
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Technical background in machining or engineering fields.
- Certifications related to tool management or safety standards.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings.
