Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and feeding of lions, maintaining high standards of health and hygiene

- Observe and document lion behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff
- Participate in enrichment activities that stimulate mental and physical engagement for the lions
- Maintain and clean training and living environments, ensuring safety and comfort for both staff and animals
- Engage with visitors to educate them about lions, their behaviors, and conservation efforts
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Background in animal behavior, zoology, or a related field
- Experience working with large animals, preferably in a training or care capacity
- Strong observational skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new training techniques and methodologies
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a zoo or wildlife sanctuary setting
- Knowledge of animal welfare standards and conservation practices
- Certification in animal first aid or CPR
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with animal training techniques, particularly positive reinforcement
- Basic understanding of animal nutrition and health monitoring
- Experience with record-keeping and data entry for animal observations
