Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies that enhance our procurement processes, inventory management, and logistics, ensuring a seamless flow of materials and products from suppliers to consumers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with the overall business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Analyze inventory levels and implement best practices to optimize stock management, reduce costs, and minimize excess inventory.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods while balancing cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize data-driven insights and industry trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain effectiveness and propose adjustments as necessary.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or related fields, with a proven track record of driving efficiencies and cost savings.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA.
- Experience with supply chain management software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in supply chain analytics and performance measurement tools.
- Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and procurement processes.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI software for reporting and decision-making.
