Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Inside Sales Engineering Manager to lead our sales engineering team. In this role, you will combine your technical expertise with your leadership skills to drive sales growth and support our customers effectively. You will be responsible for guiding the team in delivering exceptional pre-sales technical support and working closely with sales representatives to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that align with our innovative product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of sales engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and tools to succeed in their roles
- Collaborate with sales representatives to develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Identify customer requirements and translate them into product specifications, ensuring alignment with our technical capabilities
- Develop and implement effective training programs for sales engineers to enhance their technical and sales skills
- Drive continuous improvement in pre-sales processes and methodologies, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Act as a key liaison between the sales team and engineering/product teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product development
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in the software or technology industry
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex technology solutions and articulate them effectively
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on engaging diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels
Preferred:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales enablement platforms
- Technical certifications related to our product offerings or in relevant technologies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of software solutions, cloud technologies, and enterprise applications
- Experience with API integrations and technical architecture discussions
- Proficiency in utilizing sales tools and technologies to enhance team performance
