Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Hydrology Manager to lead our hydrological research and project management efforts. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and coordinate hydrological studies, manage project teams, and develop innovative strategies to address water resource challenges, while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead hydrological studies and assessments to evaluate water resource availability and quality
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring timely completion of project milestones and deliverables
- Develop and implement water resource management policies and strategies in line with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders including government agencies, environmental organizations, and community groups to address water-related issues
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting water resources
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Hydrology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in hydrology or water resource management, with a proven track record of project leadership
- Strong knowledge of hydrological modeling, data analysis, and water quality assessment techniques
- Experience with regulatory compliance and environmental impact assessment processes
Preferred:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field
- Experience with GIS and remote sensing applications in hydrology
- Familiarity with stakeholder engagement and community outreach initiatives
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in hydrological modeling software (e.g., HEC-HMS, SWAT, MIKE SHE)
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB)
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing technologies
