Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Housing Services to lead our housing initiatives aimed at enhancing community well-being and supporting diverse populations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and implementation of programs that align with our mission to provide safe, sustainable, and affordable housing solutions.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive housing strategy that meets the needs of our community and aligns with organizational goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design, implementation, and evaluation of housing services and programs.
- Foster partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community stakeholders to enhance housing resources and advocacy efforts.
Operational Management:
- Oversee budget planning and resource allocation to ensure efficient operation of housing services.
- Implement performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to housing services.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with community members to understand housing challenges and advocate for solutions that address those needs.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate stakeholders on housing resources and services.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in housing services, community development, or social services, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Preferred:
- Strong understanding of affordable housing policies and funding mechanisms.
- Experience working with diverse populations and addressing equity issues in housing.
- Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in data analysis tools and software to assess program outcomes and community needs.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience with grant writing and funding applications for housing programs.
