Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the housekeeping department in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in our facilities. You will collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to oversee operations, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations, including staffing, scheduling, and training of housekeeping staff
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to brand standards
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance
- Address guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, striving for exceptional guest satisfaction
- Support the Housekeeping Manager in developing and managing budgets and financial reports for the department
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in housekeeping management or related field
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical usage
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and tools
Preferred:
- Experience in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping operations
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Experience with property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping management software
- Familiarity with inventory management systems for cleaning supplies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
