Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Hospice Operations to lead and oversee our hospice services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients and their families. This critical leadership role involves the strategic direction of operations, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the enhancement of our service offerings to meet the evolving needs of our community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance hospice operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, while maintaining the highest quality of patient care.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage budgetary oversight and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and regulatory agencies.
- Utilize data-driven insights to assess operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives that enhance patient and family satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure best practices in patient care and to drive clinical excellence across the organization.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospice or healthcare operations.
- Strong understanding of hospice regulations, compliance requirements, and quality assurance standards.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and operational management.
Preferred:
- Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPN or similar).
- Experience with community outreach and building partnerships within the healthcare ecosystem.
- Prior experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analytics tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and EHR systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with financial management and budgeting software.
