Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Helicopter Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the airworthiness and reliability of our fleet. You will play a crucial role in overseeing maintenance operations, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards to maintain our high safety and performance benchmarks.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities for helicopters, ensuring adherence to FAA regulations and company policies
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluation
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of inspections, repairs, and modifications
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of maintenance practices to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related issues and liaise with regulatory agencies as necessary
- Manage inventory and procurement of parts and supplies, optimizing costs while ensuring availability
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in helicopter maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Strong knowledge of helicopter systems, including avionics, engines, and airframe
- Proven track record of maintaining compliance with FAA regulations and safety standards
Preferred:
- Experience with various helicopter models and manufacturers
- Leadership training or certifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in maintenance management software and tools
- Familiarity with technical publications, maintenance manuals, and aircraft documentation
- Understanding of aviation safety management systems and risk assessment methodologies
