Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Helicopter Maintenance Supervisor to join our dedicated team, focusing on the oversight and enhancement of our helicopter maintenance operations. This leadership role is critical for ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards, optimizing maintenance processes, and mentoring a team of skilled technicians remotely.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage helicopter maintenance operations, ensuring all work is performed in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of all maintenance tasks.
- Conduct audits and inspections on maintenance practices to identify areas for improvement, enhancing safety and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to address maintenance-related issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities and compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in helicopter maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations and guidelines pertaining to helicopter maintenance.
- Proven experience in developing maintenance programs and schedules that ensure aircraft readiness.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in identifying issues and implementing corrective actions.
Preferred:
- Experience with a variety of helicopter models and systems, including rotorcraft-specific maintenance practices.
- Certification as an A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) mechanic is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a remote management capacity.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in maintenance tracking software and documentation systems.
- Strong understanding of helicopter avionics, airframe structures, and powerplant systems.
- Experience with safety management systems (SMS) and quality assurance processes.
