Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Hearing Aid Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with hearing impairments by providing expert advice on hearing aids, conducting fittings, and delivering exceptional client support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' hearing needs, recommending appropriate hearing solutions tailored to individual requirements.
- Perform hearing aid fittings and adjustments, ensuring optimal performance and comfort for clients.
- Provide ongoing support and education to clients about hearing aids, including usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with audiologists and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for clients.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in hearing aid technology and best practices in audiology.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, fittings, and follow-up appointments in compliance with regulatory standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Certification as a Hearing Aid Specialist or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in fitting and servicing hearing aids, with a strong understanding of audiometric assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on client education and support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred:
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding various hearing loss conditions.
- Familiarity with digital hearing aids and the latest audiological technologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using audiological equipment for testing and fitting hearing aids.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and client management software.
- Knowledge of current hearing aid technology and software.
