Role Overview
We are seeking a Health Education Manager to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive health education programs aimed at improving community health outcomes. In this strategic role, you will leverage your expertise to design innovative educational initiatives, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and evaluate program effectiveness, ensuring alignment with our mission to promote health equity and empower communities.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate health education programs that address identified community needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative educational strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and educational institutions to develop partnerships that enhance program reach and impact.
- Conduct needs assessments and analyze health data to identify priority areas and measure program effectiveness through key performance indicators.
- Oversee the development of educational resources, curricula, and training materials for various audiences, including healthcare professionals and community members.
- Lead workshops, seminars, and training sessions to educate stakeholders on health topics, promoting best practices in health education.
- Advocate for policy changes that support health education initiatives and contribute to community health improvement efforts.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in health education, program management, or community health initiatives.
- Strong understanding of health promotion theories, adult learning principles, and evaluation methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience in grant writing and management for health education programs.
- Familiarity with health disparities and community engagement strategies.
- Certification as a Health Education Specialist (CHES) or similar credential.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in program evaluation tools and data analysis software.
- Experience with online learning platforms and digital health education resources.
- Knowledge of health informatics and emerging health technologies that enhance education delivery.
