Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Director of Health Education to lead our organization in developing and executing comprehensive health education programs. This role is critical in fostering community health awareness, enhancing health literacy, and driving engagement through evidence-based educational initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate health education programs that align with organizational goals and community needs
- Lead a cross-functional team to create impactful health education materials and resources, utilizing both traditional and digital platforms
- Establish partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and educational institutions to expand program reach
- Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in health education and develop tailored interventions
- Monitor and analyze program effectiveness through metrics and feedback, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement
- Advocate for health education policies at local and national levels, collaborating with stakeholders to influence health outcomes
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in health education program development and management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Strong understanding of public health principles and health literacy strategies
Preferred:
- Experience working in a hybrid work environment and managing remote teams
- Proven track record of successful grant writing and funding acquisition for health education initiatives
- Familiarity with current trends in digital health education and technology-driven solutions
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in data analysis tools to assess program effectiveness and inform decision-making
- Experience with e-learning platforms and content management systems
