Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Nutrition Educator to join our team. In this fully remote position, you will play a crucial role in promoting healthy eating habits and nutritional education among diverse populations. You will work closely with our Nutrition Educators to develop engaging content and programs that empower individuals to make informed food choices.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of nutrition education programs tailored to specific audiences such as schools, community groups, and health organizations.
- Conduct research on current nutrition trends and dietary guidelines to inform program content.
- Assist in creating educational materials, including workshops, handouts, and online resources that resonate with target audiences.
- Engage with community members through virtual platforms to deliver nutrition education sessions and answer questions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs, gathering feedback to continuously improve content and delivery methods.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate nutrition education into broader health and wellness initiatives.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of nutrition principles and dietary guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an engaging manner.
- Experience in educational program development or community outreach.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in nutrition education or health promotion.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms.
- Certification as a Nutritionist or Dietitian is a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace).
- Experience with content creation tools for developing educational materials.
- Basic understanding of data analysis to evaluate program outcomes and participant feedback.
