Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and strategic Community Health Education Manager to lead our initiatives in promoting health literacy and education within communities. This role will involve collaborating with diverse stakeholders to design and implement effective community health programs that address the unique needs of the populations we serve, while leveraging data-driven insights to measure impact and improve outreach.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive community health education strategies that align with organizational goals and community needs.
- Lead the creation of educational materials and resources, ensuring they are culturally relevant, accessible, and effective.
- Conduct community assessments and focus groups to gather insights on health education needs and barriers to access.
- Foster partnerships with local organizations, schools, and healthcare providers to expand outreach and impact.
- Train and mentor community health workers and volunteers to effectively deliver health education programs.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through data collection and analysis, making iterative improvements based on findings.
- Advocate for policies that support health education initiatives and equitable health access.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in community health education, program development, or public health initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in program evaluation and data interpretation.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Public Health or Health Education.
- Experience in grant writing and securing funding for community programs.
- Knowledge of health disparities and social determinants of health affecting communities.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in utilizing data analysis tools and software for program evaluation.
- Experience with online platforms for virtual health education delivery.
- Familiarity with health information systems and reporting tools.
