Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Health Programs to lead our initiatives aimed at improving community health outcomes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of health programs that align with our mission to promote health equity and access across diverse populations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and community partners to develop innovative solutions that drive measurable impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for health programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
- Lead the design and implementation of evidence-based health initiatives, focusing on areas such as chronic disease prevention, mental health, and wellness promotion.
- Establish and manage partnerships with local health agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
- Monitor program performance through data analysis, reporting outcomes, and utilizing insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to program staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Advocate for policies and practices that improve health outcomes and advance health equity within the community.
- Prepare and manage budgets for health programs, ensuring financial sustainability and compliance with funding requirements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in health program management, including significant leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing health initiatives that have led to improved health outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
Preferred:
- Experience working with underserved populations and knowledge of health equity principles.
- Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising strategies to support program initiatives.
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) or similar credentials.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Excel) for program evaluation.
- Experience with project management software and collaboration tools to streamline program operations.
- Understanding of health information systems and their role in program evaluation and improvement.
